Strategies for Fostering Students’ Engagement in Elementary School Oral Health Initiatives across Rural Taiwan

本個案研究成果將出版在UNESCO Chair Global Health & Education Genuine participation project所出版的書籍« Nothing About Them Without Them: Children and Young People’s participation in health promotion - A Global Collection of Case Studies »。該書透過來自世界各地的個案研究,探討兒童與青少年在健康教育與健康促進中的真實參與。

本次個案研究是以嘉義縣某國小為案例的口腔健康促進計畫,採用行動研究法,針對四至六年級學生設計一系列鼓勵主動參與的策略。研究成果包括:學生代表參與健康促進學校政策的討論與制定,使政策更貼近學生需求;高年級學生主動投入規劃與執行口腔健康行動計畫,培養其領導力與健康責任感;學校設計多項親子共同參與的活動,鼓勵學生邀請家長一起實踐良好口腔衛生習慣,促進家庭健康文化的形成。學生透過具體參與行動,不僅提升了自身的口腔保健知識與行為,亦促進家長關注與改善家庭的口腔健康行為,實踐了健康促進中「由下而上、從個人到家庭」的擴散效果。此案例突顯兒童在健康促進中具備行動力與影響力,是真實參與的具體展現。
